Better feedback from your beta readers
Share your manuscript or draft with readers and collect feedback where it happens. Your readers don't need to create an account.
Feedback with its context intact
“I liked chapter three” only tells you so much.
Notes sent after the reader finishes can lose the exact moment that caused a reaction. It becomes harder to see where someone paused, felt unsure, or wanted to say more.
Readcrumbs keeps lightweight reactions and shared notes tied to the paragraph where the reader left them.
How it works
From draft to useful reader feedback
-
01
Add your writing
Paste plain text or upload a text-based PDF, then choose feedback while reading.
-
02
Share with your readers
Send the document's shared reading link to beta readers, a writing group, an editor, or another trusted reader.
-
03
Review feedback in context
See paragraph reactions and the notes readers chose to share, connected to the place in your writing that prompted them.
Less friction for readers
Your beta readers don't need another account.
Anyone with the shared link can open the draft and read without signing up. A reading session is created for that browser; readers may volunteer a name or email, but they do not have to identify themselves.
Granular feedback
See the passage behind the reaction.
In feedback mode, readers can react to each paragraph and leave a note. You can review feedback by reader and by section, including aggregated paragraph reactions, instead of matching disconnected messages back to the draft.
A focused fit
Useful for a small, trusted circle
Beta reading · Writing groups · Developmental feedback · Trusted early readers · Editors and writing coaches
